This is a lovely piece of victorian art. great job! Detail is impressive, my eye moves into the art through the light colors of the dress and goes to her face, then for some reason it follows her hair thenaround th his hand, finally he is niticed. there is great balance using the flowers on the top left and the one on the bottom right. If I am to critique I might say that there could have been more than one flower on the bottom right for a better balnce. Overall, your work is incredible. I am a big fan! and I am going to request to be a fan.

How magnificent your review is. If I have captured the spirit of fairy tales, then I have reached a new pinnecle. Isn't that what art is all about. Baring the heart and soul for the world to see. Thank you for your wonderful review. It is more than a review, it is a sharing; one artist to another.

Your art works above art. It's more like a spiritual language.

Such rich detail, visual impact and story telling. Wonderful composition. Center of interest in the "lovers" is spot on by expert compositional placement of their faces/heads and your rendering of fabrics is exquisite in its realistic/natural detail in folds and shadowing. Beautiful work. Peace, Dan

Oh Dan, thank you. I wanted to express the dark and deepness of the human heart.
Desire, feelings, awakenings. Haven't we all awakened to what real love is and isn't it the most glorious thing. Romance, it must never die. Passion, for all of life has to motivate artists, such as we. Reaching out, not just to the viewer, but to you, and the other artists here, we communicate our happiness in what we do. We, through the generosity of God, share in creation. Each new canvas, an expression of ourselves, but also that of our Creator. Thank you for your most wonderful review. I am elated, and oh so humbled.

Linda - you have an incredible talent! I cannot believe the amount of detail you have captured here. How long did this piece take you to complete? Mozzie

    Dear Mozzie,
It took a long time. I kept going back to make a detail sharper. Thank you for your wonderful 6 star review.

Very complicated and well executed image. The forms blending into and becoming other images does indeed lend itself to a fantasy theme.

I love this pencil work. It is so beautiful and so engaging. Her eyes pull you right into the scene and they seem to tell a story all their own.

Thank you for sharing it and God Bless!

Hello Linda,
There is not much you can't do with a pencil that I wouldn't give a 6 for, you have certainly proven yourself with this medium.
Keep up the good work,
Gary

Very beautiful work, linda. I enjoyed viewing this piece because it is so fanciful and dreamlike. The body positioning is great for both subjects, and i like how the approaching man is nuzzling the woman but she seems unaware and looks instead at the viewer, which is kind of an eerie effect, making her seem aware of being inside a work of art. That is an interesting take on the depiction of women in art, and it adds complexity to what would otherwise just be a pretty picture. The depth achieved through the use of darker details has been somewhat minimized, here. The textures rendered are realistic and show excllent skills.
Exceptional pencil work.
Thanks, Artragist
