I begin each drawing at the left side of the canvas and work my way to the right. I want the illusion of reality to come through. Gretchen, thank you for your wonderful review.

Really great picture. Black and white works well here. Looks like her eyes opened when he kissed her. Very pretty sleeping beauty. and a handsome prince. Cener of interest is great, storytelling, lighting and creativity of presentation. slblevins:)

Beautiful detailing here. Love her hair, the pattern and movement. I think your prince gets lost a little in the background, but other wise contrast and tonality is excellent. Nicely balanced. she almost looks like she's lost in her own world with those dreamy eyes.

Wow!..This is georgeous!
You must have a lot of patience to be able to do this, as the flowers and her dress are so well detailed,also her hair.The portraits of them both are great,I love to draw and sketch all the time, but I don't know that I would have the patience for that amount of detail in pencil.
