NIce colors and contrast. Message is very clear and first impression is of the intended message. Technique is simple and effective. There is visually wasted space here that dilutes the message. I would frame it more as marked, though the wider view may be intended to connote wideness of the horizon/world.
The yellow 'clouds' band is effective and adds to the effect/mystic feeling.

I'm a Christian also and I love the simplicity of your picture but has a deep message. Love the sun, clouds and yellow background. Your sihlouete is great and very self explanatory. Like the small foreground for more interest. Center of interest is great, lighting, color, storytelling and creativity of presentation. Susan:)
