I love it when those things happen. This witch is pretty cool. Like the pretty blue tones. Her tree/hat is very creative. Great composition.

Thank you so much. I couldn't help myself to paint her since the real Ida was a wicked one, sending lightnings at Internet antennas and 12 inches of power drowning rain at us rushing us to pack and board up the houses but she was friendly to as at the same not causing any other damage.

I am thrown a tad by the smile on her lovely face. Why not a smirk on her lips and a less beautiful woman to boot. Maybe a sea hag look would be more appropriate. This is one hurricane, I am afraid I would welcome, but I should be more frightened than delighted.
Cheers, Don

Revision is in order, lovely job and all.

Thank you so much Don for your through and thoughtful review. Oh she has that smile in here face in purpose because the real Ida was wicked but on the other hand very nice to us. She just send a few lightnings to the Internet antennas and some 12 inches of power drowning rain. Not a storm to be frightened of down here. Usually we get it much worse. After Gilbert, Roxane, Isidor, Emily, Wilma and Dean [just the # 5 hurricanes what hit us], Ida was literally smiling at us. I think one has to live here to understand. That wasn't a storm to be frightened of, just a trouble maker for us.
There is a second reason that she is beautiful. Even as a little kid I was wondering why witches are always ugly shown. A think a beautiful witch would be much more dangerous. They hide their nature for what they are witches otherwise? Did you never experienced an ugly character behind beautiful face and a winning smile? I did more often than not and also finding the real beauty behind an ugly face as well.

I have trampled on your lovely picture, and I am sorry. I mudded it myself and shame on me. I would have be there to fully appreciate this one. I agree with all of your later statements about beauty skin deep and all of the other. Cheer, Don

No need to apologize. I probably unwillingly trampled on the feelings of hurricane victims myself. It is probably hard to understand or feelings. Living here is as living with the earthquakes in California. We all know the next big one comes. We are happy if it isn't right now. In the main time we joke about, I fell somehow bad after knowing what "harmless" Ida did as extra topical storm up north on the US west coast. But I stay to the concept of dangerous beauty.

Very colorful and creative. I usually avoid skeletond and witches but this one just caught my eye. I love the hat for more interest. I suppose it is an octopus, I may e wrong but anyway it is great. Love how the fish inside make a face. Center of interest is great, colors, lighting, storytelling and creativity of presentation. Susan:)

Thank you very much Susan. The hat as the whole picture is open for all kinds of interpretation. I was not very distinct in purpose. It is made to see different things each time one look at it.
