For a quick sketch this is really quite good and has good initial impact. There is story telling capabilities in the piece and you do capture her personality and innocence in her eyes well. Your proportions are well done and the slight tilt of her head adds interest and personality to the piece. It is nice you have kept it for so many years. It is filled with memories. this is precious heritage artwork as you described this, it WAS your granddaughter of 12 at the time, now a mom herself. its precious. I'd frame it and put into into the hall. its a nice drawing. it shows her youth, her eyes and her look. very nice drawing, may it last several more generations!
