Awesome capture! Great lighting! Wonderful colors on the bees! Crisp and clear photograph! I might have zoomed in a bit more! But overall a nice photograph! Thanks for sharing.

    ddively,
you are welcome, thank you, this was as close as I could, or is that wanted to get with amacro lens.

Nice shot. Hope you did this with a telephoto lens or had on thick clothes! Great detail of the wasps themselves. The only thing I might have done differently would be to center the cropping a bit more.Otherwise a great image!

    Panda chan,
no, just my camera, a macro lens and then taking the shots, i like the fact it is an off center shot, to me adds to the drama. thank you for having stopped by and your comments.

    donkeyoatey,
I liked the the way it turned, I was lucky enough to capture the various stages of development in on shot. thank you for stopping by and your comments.

And a fine nature macro too!. Pin sharp. Good composition. Exposure good. Specs would be useful (off camera flash?). High interest image and ticks the boxes.

Very good capture. The detail on the wasps is good. The textures good. Framing good. Really unusual subject matter. I've never seen this type of wasp before. Thank you for posting them.

The focus looks VERY good on this shot!
Lighting also VERY good!
Colors on the adults came out really good... Not sure how "ugly" they are (I think they look kind of cute) but the shot looks GREAT!
Good luck in the contest!!

    Mattison,
all depends on you perspective.. if they are coming after you they look pretty fearsome & I dare say Ugly, (lol!!) especially the buzzing... Thanks for your comments.

good shot and you are very brave to be so close to then

I think that adjusting the contrast a bit will make it better, the big bright and empty area disturbs me a bit

I can appreciate how difficult it must be to get a clear and in focus shot of such small moving insects, so well done. We don't often look at wasps in such microscopic detail - it's a bit scary!
