Hi Cleo, You certainly created the feel of desolation in this image! Moody fits this to a "T"! The soft colors of the un-defined ground makes the viewer feel lost within your image. The sky is beautiful but has a haunting feeling to it. The word "alone" is definitely felt throughout your image. You really created some great imagery for this contest! Good Luck!!!! :o) Nancy

What a nice natural piece of artwork presented here. Certainly a mood created by this and would fit just as well in a minimalism category. Relly nice, good luck in the contest

I like this. I really dig what you've done with the sky.
It reminds me of the newest Mad Max movie with Tom Hardy (which I absolutely love and nobody else shares my opinion on that).

Really beautiful artwork. Nice composition and colors. I love the feeling of loneliness it gives. I know little to nothing about digital art, but you are definitely talented.

Absolutely stunning and so nicely presented.
Most of us never make it to see the real desert and you brought that scenery to us so vividly.
Great colors, details and wonderful presentation.

The purple glow creates the mood and hints of dusk. The trees and paths only hint landscape. The purple reigns, tinted by hints of light orange mist. Very nicely done. The mood is set. Love it. Ray G.

What I like the best about this painting is the beautiful colors you have given the sky, and also the simplicity. This is indeed a moody landscape with the naked trees, and with some of the smaller twigs hanging down they almost look sad.

The trees are standing out so well from the background, and it is fine shadings to be seen on the ground. Lovely and smooth brushwork.

The format and framing is perfect, and I think it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well done digital painting Cleo.

The simplicity of your landscape is mesmerizing! The beautiful colors of the sky are realistic and the ground looks misty or perhaps sand blown by the wind. This does evoke feelings of loneliness but in a beautiful and spiritual way. So well done and pleasing to view!

Visually soothing picture although life in the desert is far from it.
Bluish overtone...
Sharply focused desert growth. Fine rendering in diminishing perspective.
Vanishing viewpoint.
Subtle illumination. Very well presented. Good luck in the contest!

What makes the desert beautiful,' said the little prince, 'is that somewhere it hides a well'
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

A very nice illustration, It needs not a lot to make a perfect picture. Amazing art! Beautiful toning. Top composition and in color.
