I actually like this one Cleo, even if it looks like you never added people. I especially like the color pallet you have used and the very good use of high lights. It actually looks like the light is shining on the top houses.
The volcano with smoke coming out adds drama to the scene, and it is well placed off to the left. I also like all the fine shapes and lines, and the stairs up to the top of the built area.
The format and framing is very good, and it is a very fine balance in the composition. I think this a truly lovely and well done digital painting with a strong visual impact.

I got ill shortly after I posted this painting and forgot all about it for several years. Since I lost my original paint-file, I will have to re-create the painting and then add the people, because the JPEG version posted on FAP is the sole surviver. :o)

A great art work for the contest with lovely shades and details. Even though art is not finished it looks very much complete to me with all the great details. The building architectures with volcano mountains at back make it look so real. Really great work.

This is a nice eye catching work with nice colors and depth with the volcano in the background. I like the textures you have added as it helps with the illusion of depth as it brings out detail in the foreground. Really great work I am excited to see it when it is all complete!

Wow, great digital art painting of this urban development right under the volcano. Such wonderful details on the town development and the mountains in the back. It looks like the volcano is stemming already.
There were some developments like this that did not survived, so sad.
