You did a wonderful job in capturing this beautiful dragonfly and the colorful stem it landed on.

I love the colors and haven't seen such a beautiful dragonfly before.

Good job.

    . Hi Donkeyoatey,

I kind of like this style, but I don't expect you to like everything I do. :o)
It's nice knowing I got you to LOOK a little deeper and think about what I did. I did get you to turn your head a little.

As for the stained glass I agree with you 100%! I think it would be very pretty......just wish I knew how to do it? Darn!

Thanks for wonderful review. Yours are ones I really appreciate.

    Helvi :o)

I TRY to review from the creators standpoint, and not mine..it isn't always easy..but I do learn a lot, and I also learn to still that quick "rush to judgement thing that is a result of not THINKING..sometimes I come back to a piece three or four times..weird huh? Donkeyoatey

No, it's not wierd at all. There are times I do the SAME thing! I can't make up my mind on what I think so I have to come back several times. You're not alone in your thinking. :o) Helvi

What a great close up, Helvi. Your background looks great. Not sure what you mean about the copying and pasting, but he does look good. He is a little blurred, but the fabulous colours and dof make up for it. I like the twig, too.

Hi Heather, :o) I should have said traced copied and paste. I traced the dragonfly and twig in the picture then copied it so I could blur the background. After the background was blurred, I pasted the dragonfly and twig back into the picture and used special effects on them. It was all done in png. mode so I could keep the pieces seperate until I decided to make the picture a whole in jpg. I hope that explains what I did. :o) Glad you enjoyed the finished result. Thanks for the wonderful review. Helvi :o)

Nice edits. Good composition and framing. Colors are spot on and the edits you made with the background, pasting and embossing the edges worked well. Overall makes for a nice mixed media image.

A very nice photo of this dragonfly. Good colour and great crisp focus, that also shows the body well, but detail in the wings. I would have done a bit more of a cropping on it, the blue lines will give you an ida on where i would have. All in all, you have done very good.

I love this ...very creative! I am a lover of stained glass windows and this reminds me of the colors and textures. Awesome job!

I love the detail on this little guy--the wings are so cool--your focus is spot on.
I don't know Photoshop, so am kind of confused as to what all you did --but it worked--the twig he has landed on even goes with the colors on him--go figure. This is really neat!

This has great initial impact as I peered at it and tried to decide if it was a photo or painting. You were creative with your presentation, taking a "big" picture a little farther Great job with the cutting and pasting - even tho the edges are really feathered, it still works. Thanks for sharing.

They don't stay still long, do they?

Good exposure and focus and viewpoint and composition.

I would suggest a little more color saturation on the dragonfly to enhance the rainbow in its wings
