Since all I can give you is a five star rating then a five star it is.This painting Shawn is so pretty and peaceful looking.I am going to be honest and say that my first impression was that of a rememberance card one would get at a funeral home.I saw the butterfly as the person gone saying goodbye.Hope I didn't depress you too much but I'm just being honest.

LOL. No problem, Angel. Cards are needed for all occasions. Thank you for the thought on that. Speaking of being depressed, my kitty jumped on my desk and spilled my coffee all into my keyboard, so hubby had to get me another, and I can't type worth pooh on it. LOL. This all happened this morning after I talked to you, so I couldn't even get online for quite a while. Again, thank you for the beautiful review, and it would be wonderful if we could get someone to buy up art for cards. Like a contract from Hallmark :) Not!

Very nice picture. Good color, lighting. Focus is great. Contrast in colors draws your eyes to the butterfly. Very nice composition as well.

Interesting coloring. I like the juxtaposition of it. I have never seen a gray butterfly or blue cattails but it looks good on the purple flowers and the light blue background. [Are these gorgeous blue flowers are product of your imagination?} The coloring is beautiful and the landscape calming as a lazy, hazy summer afternoon. [I hope there are no mosquitoes in these wetlands! -just joking]

Mmmm...I was affraid of it. Mosquitoes are the true vampires in my point of view.

Vampires without the teeth! And, yes, I made up the flowers. I should just list all my work at fantasy, because I make up nearly everything I do. :)

the flowers resemble many real flowers closely but not complete. To me they look like upside down wisteria. I like it. I wouldn't call it fantasy but imagination.

I love the soft pallet with monochrome overtones. It gives the whole thing an air of mystery, as though, if you look at it for long enough, it will become something else entirely.
