great idea and great eye for a shot. I like the posts and their shadow with water background. I would have moved left a bit to get a bit more aligned with the line of posts and left out the edge of the bench.
Then maybe even zoomed a but more to drop the amount of sky also.
That would help simplify the subject, in this case the posts and shadows with the water scene background, Nice blus sky but I dont think you needed that much of it.

Not a bad shot, but I feel it needs a few adjustments. The horizon is right in the middle of the shot and it should be higher or lower depending if the focus is the foreground or background. Also, the DOF is too shallow for this type of shot. I think if you had moved the horizon up and cropped a little closer. it would have had much more visual interest.

This is a good shot of the harbour and I like the perspective with the chain link fence here. I might have shifted the angle just a bit with this to have excluded the bench or garbage bin out of the shot as it is a bit distracting.
