Snow in my garden

This is a lovely scene Annie. The autumn colours are very beautiful covered with snow. The light touching on the metal adds a beautiful yellow colour which is very appealing. The red in the foreground adds a Christmas look to the scene! This picture would make a beautiful christmas card.

Initial impact: looks like a nice garden
Subject choice: snow in the garden
Composition: a bit too much in one pic, and the center is not so clear, i think cropping might be a good way to better it

Oh Annie this is simply lovely! You reminded me of my childhood in England. The snow is something we take for granted when it happens on regular basis but here in South Australia it never happens. Your photo is full of colour, crisp and crunch. Thank you so much for sharing. Frances

This is very different to the usual winter scene it actually has some color in it ,
It very interesting to see the solar light covered with the snow, there is also some green still to be seen.
Good idea well done and thanks for sharing.

Nicely composed but would frame a little differently as shown to move lamp off of center more. Colors are natural. Lighting is even with a bit of contrast to add impact. Focus is sharp. DOF is good to keep image clear. Overall nice but not overly interesting. Thanks for sharing.

This is a beautiful photo.. the composition is simple, allowing the viewers to really be taken in by the beauty of a gentle snowfall, the focus throughout is very crisp, the shapes within the frame (especially on the lamp) are most pleasing, and the colors are natural. Excellent work with the exposure.. it is easy to render snow overexposed but you've preserved the detail in it nicely.

I only have two suggestions that I think would make the photo even stronger:
1) The center of interest, the lamp, is placed somewhat awkwardly in the frame, in my opinion, and I'd like to see it pulled a little more to the right (out of the center and closer to the third), so I may crop off some of the right side. The left side looks prettier anyway.
2) Apply some fill light to the shadow areas on the left side.

Overall, this is a beautiful scene! Thanks for sharing!
