Why is it important to have a calibrated monitor?
It is the range of blacks, grays, and whites, that control colors, create impact or drama. A full contrast scale, gives maximum usable contrast for your work of art. Usually this means a lot of impact in the Image.

It has interesting patterns in light and shadows, with good detail in the mid-tones, and highlights...

When we look for the quality in the work of masters or mentors, and aim to duplicate that quality, we can achieve it, with practice.

The more we look at the work of others closely to see what we like, the more info we store in our brain. Then, the brain uses this information, all combined to create our own style of work.

My desire as a reviewer, is to help you produce something better, each time. Sometimes that is difficult, with those who have a lot of experience.

You have done well with this image, will enjoy seeing more of your work.

This is a lovely shot. The colors are fantastic. Great story telling ability and framing. It looks as if hes looking right at you of course I see you had a fantastic lens to capture this shot but still
this bird seems aware of his paparazzi status. I like this

Good shot Willie. Your composition works well with this.

your focus is sharp giving you good detail. Nice lovely bird you captured. The red looks off a tad on my monitor.

Thanks for sharing.

Bravo!
I love the fact that you didn't mess with the birds coloring. The natural muted coloring of the body makes the brightness of the head pop. Nice clear eyes and the background isn't distracting.
