Beautiful close up and I have to say this is the best capture so far I have seen of a cardinal. The exposure is perfect and the creamy bokeh is excellent.

I wish I had a six for this.

Thanks for sharing.

Well executed. Strong color and lighting. Great focus and framing. Excellent subject and initial impact. A high quality, which I would expect to see adorning any of the several nature books available today. Well done!

again willie... wow!!

love everything about it

once again... lighting so well controlled to bring out all the rich reds and the impressive detail in this cardinal.

i like the composition.. would have like the entire bird in frame, but it does not wreck the overall image the same way as it would have if the blue jay had been cut off.

your subject of focus is more than just a pretty bird... it is that expression of "you are not getting this away from me" "its mine" written all over this fowls face.

the bokeh is very suitable for the subject and when printed on the right media may come out looking like brush strokes of grass and field.

very lovely and very well captured..

thank you, yet again, for a true example of this art form.

:)

Initial impact; He posed very well for you. Patience does pay off sometimes. Lighting is very good. Action hanging on to chow. Great bird presentation. Color harmony is wonderful. Center of interest is the worm after the cardinal. Cropping is great. Focus is sharp. Depth of field has blurred out the background. Story telling is in the title and artist's notes.

Great composition.
