I very much like the angle you have chosen here. Its different from the classic shot that you posted previously. This still gives you the colours and markings of this beautiful butterfly and it also brings it to life. Nice contrast with the mauve of the thistle head. Well framed/cropped and very well done

Initial impact; Nice positioning. Lighting is ambient outdoors lighting. Action is finding that sweat stuff. Nice angled presentation. Color harmony is good. Center of interest is the butterfly but also could be the thistle. Cropping is good. Focus is sharp. Depth of field has blurred all the unwanted background out. Story telling is in the title and artist's notes.

Another beautiful specimen. I love the yellow against the purple thistle. They are such lovely creatures aren't they?! With the patience I know it takes to get these guys to sit still for just a few seconds, I would love to see what you could do with a macro shot. This would make a great addition to a collage of butterfly's also. Well done!

Well I am glad you left the job and are doing what your heart was probably telling you all along. I really enjoy looking at images of nature. I don't know how long you had to wait for the shot, but however long, it is well worth it. The clarity of the butterfly on the flower is just wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
