Very nice photo of the bird with such vivid colors. The image is crisp and clear and the surrounding of pines suits the image. Good use of light. Initial impact is good and the image is well balanced and nicely composed.

Nice natural history shot. Good composition and clarity of image. Might be tad under focus but it does not detract from the beauty of the bird. Nice clean shadow to beak which serves to highlight the colour.

They are very beautiful, I agree Willie.
Even though the male is so much more striking with his bright red and black feathers, the females look just a lovely in brown and orange.
Beautiful focus and detail.
You truly are a master at these shots.

This is an excellent photograph of the prolific cardinal. Here we have what appears to be a female cardinal as noted by her distinct, predominantly brown color. It is the male cardinal, on the other hand, that bears the more conspicuous red color. Very well done and thank you for sharing.--Dr. Carlton

Lovely shot again of a bird in its natural habitat. Oddly I prefer the shot of the wren, which just shows how subjective this all is. However I can see its nicely framed with good lighting and nice colour. For me it just lacks the drama and the atmosphere of the wren shot. Well done though

Great capture, focus, composition, lighting . Love that the pine needles at depth to the picture. Colors are natural.
