Cute. Looks like it needs a little sharpening. Great color, and lighting, love the chair color. Nice presentation, thanks for sharing.

cute picture of the sleeping cat. Definitely has nice story telling ability here. Those are really big blue chairs. I like the picture, however the focus on the cat is soft to me and a bit grainy. thanks for sharing.

My reviews are set with "Blinders" which means the names of those who are being reviewed, are not shown.

Thus the reviewer does not know who the artist may be or if they are one of my Fans and so am not influenced by reputations of the artist. That way you get a fresh review or your work, as each piece is a new challenge.

Your scene could be improved with a slight change in exposure. We always used to say with slide film, "Expose for the highlights, and let the blacks fall where they will." Digital is the same as using Slide Film as far as exposure. Get detail in the whites that are important, like the cats fur, and everything else will look good. That would make it have more punch.

Manually, modifying the Gamma, would help it a bit more. The tonal range is Fairly good. With yellows, browns, orange, blues and blacks, a good eye for composition.

With changes in a good editor, you could bring out the colors so they would sparkle.

Highlights are good but the white on the cast leg to shoulder are blocked.

It has good mid tones, and some darker areas with detail. Includes blacks without detail, which gives it a great contrast range.

Sharpening could be improved, digital loses sharpness in processing, so it needs a final sharpening before creating a JPG. If you have an editor like Photoshop or Gimp (the latter is free on the Internet) Use the "Unsharpen Filter" first slider set to 20, second one set to 100-175, third no more than 10. You could try that on a copy, and see how you like it.

If you like it better, click edit on the image in your Portfolio, then change to upload the new version. If you do this, let me know, and will upgrade this to at least a 5.

Many photos are too dark or light and flat or grayed, without sufficient contrast for the subject. But, you have a good image.
Keep working or learning more and one day you may come to like it as much as I do. :)

Some say they would not change the way anything was captured in the camera. They think of photos like a Journalist does, only recording reality.

Artists change anything which the creative side of their brain, motivates them, to express themselves in their images. They put a part of themselves into their art.

They communicate things, that no straight photograph ever can. If we communicate our feelings to one or more people, we are successful. Money is not the measure of success to an artist.

Wonderful subject matter. I love the color of these chairs that emphasize the cat and the color of the walls. Good story telling. The coloring all around lends to a tropical feel.
