When I first saw the small photograph, I thought it was some black bug. I just think it requires lightening. This is a great capture.

this is an amazing photograph - if I had more stars I would definitely have given them. The drops of water hanging in mid air are so well defined you could almost count them. Love it.

Great effort willie. You did good with your set up prior to he fleeing.
I think the whole scene is interesting. I like his legs showing just after liftoff.

Well done for catching this., he's well placed in the frame. Maybe if you used a selection tool on the heron and lightened it slightly, to give it separation from the background.

Willie, this is a great photograph with a tremendous amount of potential. The background is near perfect, the bird could use just a little more light to show some more shadow detail. The refections in the water are really nice. The large branch or perch is great. The other little branches need to be retouched out as they are distracting. This has great fine art potential. Just a little dark vignette on the corners and you have another star and perhaps an all time best. Great that you were able to get this when you did. Great presentation and great story. Don't think you need the feathers. Thanks for sharing this moment. You have done a marvelous job elevating this photo and it has become a far better photo.
