This is a wonderful composition of linear and perspective lines, filled with light and colour to complete the superb quality of this shot. The balance of light and dark is so sweet and strong, filling the counter balance and counter point to it's ultimate height. You have the perfect diagonal, horizontal and vertical lines - simply a somposition of beauty. I am so sorry I don't have a 5,5 to give you! Congratulations, this deserves more that my 5. Decent capture here of a very sad time in history and something the world must NEVER forget! The photo is nice and everything looks nice and neat however, I have seen loads of photos and movies and this was a living hell. God forgive us all!

Compelling story for this image of the series. The image graphically shows the conditions that the inmates would have endured. Although know doubt this room is much cleaner than it would have been when occupied when the camp was open. We framed image..

I love that there is a ray of hope (of sorts, anyway) in this very sad shot. This is a tremendous journalistic shot. I can't imagine what these people lived through. Great choice of lighting.

Very moving, great story-telling ability and artist notes were excellent. I love the clear, bright white light in the window, contrasting the bleak conditions of the barrak. Casts a little ray of hope on each bed. Thanks so much for sharing your photo and thoughts

Paid by ordinary mortals listening to the so called leaders sitting in the comfort of their luxury homes.My questions is are these displayed in Poland so that the visitors can relieve the holocaust? Hope is eternally shines in the breasts of human beings whatever the circumstances be.

Evocative might be a better category than photojournalism but either way it is evocative. I am old enough to remember the aftermath of this horror and knew people who lived through it. Your use of light and shadow here help capture the sense and technically it is well focused and nicely cropped

Thank you very much.It was difficult to do this shot. It was a lot of people around, it was dark, and we were not permitted to use flash.
