This is so great, perfect focusing on the details in the feathers of this lovely creature. Excellent photo, such a cute pose captured, as if the bird was wondering what you were doing there:) Beautiful natural lighting helped the beauty of colors too. Thanks so much for sharing this, enjoy!

thanks for this very nice bird picture .. how lucky you are to have a blind so that you can capture these wonderful photos.
I get some pretty nice water birds, but not having a blind, they see me coming and I get an awful lot of "rear end" pictures:-) Good job. Jill

This is beautiful Willie.
Just look at that fine focus and detail. It's so clear.
Lovely colouring. He looks great against the green background.
Very well done.

Another fine bird shot from you. The close up view has come out very well.Once again you have timed it well. Mt Grey has been beautifully captured on camera. The sharpness is impressive. The light and composition are also fine .

Super job willie, This is very nicely focused and exposed. Good use of the light using a fast shutter speed.
Big zoom, so you did good holding the camera still on that much zoom.
Background looks clean and good contrast. Well done, very good simplified subject with no distractions.

My pleasure. Its the best close-up of a bird I've seen on here and I promoted it as I want everyone to see it!

Boy now that is what I call eye to eye. I love his little tuft. This is just a super image. I know you used a 140-600 but where was it set for this photo?

Thank you so much! I had it as far out as it would go. This is also hand held. I wanted to use my mono-pod but it was 1 foot to tall so I am going to try the tri-pod next.

That's impressive yuo must have steadier hands than I

1000/sec you don't need steady hands. I was shooting fast so I cold catch them if they flew.
