Beautiful light and focus on this close up of this beauty! I need to get some seed going on my property more but the Jays can be so overpowering. I love the minute detailing of his/her plumage, the soft focused framing around your subject as well as the warmth of lighting.

Thank you so very much! It is fun to watch the birds! I espically like watching the blue jays. I spend about $25 a month for feed.

This amazing that you got a close up like this. The detail in this and the way the bird is looking at you are excellent. The clarity, focus, lighting and overall impact are all excellent. Just a beautiful and excellent picture.

very good Willie, you becoming the bird man of FAR. Great focus and great light use. I know im being picky but watch your backgrounds dont get a bit noisy, they dont show much at this small resolution but check them out before you downsize by viewing them at 1005 pixels size on your computer, if it looks a bit edgy or grainy there then smooth it out before you make it smaller.
I really like the crisp focus, but Im a stickler for crisp focus and good exposure and you got it on this one. One thing that software cant really fix is an out of focus photo, some say they can but really cant, I have the same, shots I love but are just a tad out and I have to force myself to hit delete. This is NOT one of those

Thank you so much! I have learned so much since I've joined FAR, this is one of them. When I have that lense out at far as it will go, with it being overcast, and shooting a fast shutter speed, I will find grain in the backgrond. I use the smudge tool in photoshop to fix it. It works but it takes time!

ok, but theres other ways, thats the easiest without buying more plug ins. I can help if you ever want to learn the plug in and whats called layer masking to use it only on certain areas of the photo, but they all take time, right you are

Brilliant details of the subject in this image. Every little detail of the bird is shown. And love how you have caught him with seed in his beak. Great look in his eye too and good colors.
