I hope its not a sad story...sounds rather odd though. He's such a cute dog and at first I thought this might be a funny shot like his head poking through one of those things they have at the zoo or at the fair.

what a cute doggy, Nice shot. Focus is good. Lighting is decent maybe just a tad bright on top. Are you holding food as he looks fixated on you. Like the choice of background.
