As I've only been afforded a few maximum star ratings, I wait for an image to which I respond aloud. This one made me gasp. More of an emotional reaction than a technical response, for sure, but I love the soft void that the fog has created, the depth of the ground and sky color and that I can barely discern if I am witnessing the sun or the moon. You say you changed the foreground, which offers little for me except another depth of hues. Is the DOF in that area a little flat or vague? Either way, it takes nothing away from the overall for me. Mystical. Love it! Wish I could have been there.

Love this photo. The fog is amazing and the lower right hand corner doesn't even look like a hill. I haven't viewed to much of your work but this has been my favorite so far. Well done.

I assume that is the moon as even with the fog there would be some glare form the sun. Too bad there wasn't a bit more of interest in the right foreground but we can't ask for everything. Great wall of fog. Nicely exposed and I guess you have to take whatever crop one decides on

Thank you very much. I did not crop at all. I was so excited by the fog that i forgot all the rules. I was just thinking:" Hurry Annie, before it disappears".

A shot like this has no obvious crop to it.

Awesome shot!!
Everything is just where it should be.
I love the fog moving in, and the moon of course is the focal point for me.
Great photo.
Nice work!

And you captured it. This is truly stunning, wish I had 6 stars to give, the most amazing picture I've seen in a while. Nothing more to add as it is so good!
