Nice shot! Several things I like about this one: the sharpness of focus on the main subject; the blue colour of his clothes, which I feel gives the photo lots of zing; and that wonderful smile on his face, which just makes you want to smile along with him! A real feel-good photo in my opinion: I dare anyone to feel grouchy after viewing it :-) Thank you very much for sharing it, I really enjoyed looking at it.

You made a nice catch as well. The fisherman and the fish are both well focused and show a lot of detail. Colors are dead on. The expression on his face couldn't have been better. Very nice work with the background as well.

Thank you so very much. I would guess he weighed about 2 pounds.

I am quite familiar with the road you mentioned, and it is a sort of fun drive..seeing all the old "tires" in the water! lol..I like the sharpness of this shot, and it is a nice bass. bottle jigging was a popular fishing method when I was a child. Donkeyoatey

Think you so very much! I have never heard or seen anyone fish this way!

We couldn't afford poles! Some people still use bleach jugs for the big cats and run a set of lines..if you see jugs sort of hanging out in the water..that is probably what it is! donkeyoatey

Great catch and great capture. Love the use of field depth. Smile is so appealing to the whole composition. Love the storytelling. It made me appreciate this even more.

This is an excellent photograph, especially for its whimsical and profoundly unequivocal characterization. Very well done and thank you for sharing.--Dr. Carlton
