This is a excellent facial shot of the fly, though with its yellow and black color of its body, makes it look a little like a 'wasp'. The focus and clarity of the fly and yellow of the flower is perfect with a nice soft blur for the background, especially the white petals. It can be so hard to get the front view of an insect, usually they are turned the other way. Very well done! (digitalscud).

Anything that looks that much like a bee I'm not getting close to. This is wonderful the way you got so close and all the detail you see in him. I like the angle and the way you see just part of the flower. An excellent picture. Good luck in the contest.

Very good capture of the transparent wings. Excellent point of view and use of depth of field to bring the eye to the bee. (I'm pretty sure it's a bee.) Perfect white and color balance. Good luck in the contest.
