Awesome shot! (AGAIN!) I love his little stance he has going on. Almost like he is at the beach and waiting for a wave to come up. Or like he is feeling the wind under his wings. Everything else is great too!

Great story. I can relate to your story about be excited in see certain thing in nature. Good details and lighting on the heron. He does look like he is dancing. Maybe lighten the BG up he would stand out a little better. Great action capture.

The heron is actually dancing. Well spotted. It is a very nice photo of this heron spreading its wings. Lovely colors and good use of light. Nice colors and a bit of reflections in the shiny bit of water. Nice and sharp image. This is really a good composition with good balance.

It looks like he's doing tai chi or something. Maybe he's just trying to keep his footing on the ice. Maybe not quite as sharp as soome of your others but still a very nice image. I like the transition of water to ice, to break up the foreground and provide more interest.
