Another of your brilliant close ups of a bird. This time the blue jay. I don't think we have them in Norway, and the first time I saw one was through FAR. Their colors are so lovely. Yours is pin sharp with very good details. Worth the 6 I don't have at the moment. You have also used the light well, and the background is nice and neutral. You can count its feathers. Lovely composition.

Now this is the kind of blue jay we have around here. Your shot just reminds me what they are. Mean little beautiful birds. They are the ones that dive bomb you if they don;t want you near something. This is just an excellent and interesting shot. I really like the way he is giving you the once over. Better be glad he left instead of pecking you on the head. Very impressive picture with all that detail in the feathers..

This is a great portrait and I hope you entered this in the birds contest. The lighting is amazing and their isn't a distracting background. I can see the hightened alertness in its eyes too. Excellent photo.

Great capture.
the slight tilt of the head is very nice. incredible depth of field on this lens you used as the beak is out of focus yet the eyes are in focus, which is a very small distance apart. great detail in the feathers.
