Willie the lighting and the colors in this image are superb. I love the motion blur around the head and neck. The detail in his plumage is just gorgeous. Initial impact for me was "Wow". Compositionally it is very pleasing and tells a good story without having to read your notes. Notes are excellent also.

Beautiful blue heron capture so intent within his thoughts. Love the color, lighting in this, the focal refinement, especially in his plumage. Great depth of field and overall compositional draw.

Good detail of his feathers, that look wet. The head is a little out of focus but details are good, as are colors. Good exposure and focus. He looks as though he is looking quite fiercely at something. Food maybe

VERY cool photo! I was wondering why it looked so "fluffy" then I read the note and it is even cooler that you caught that instant of shaking with such focus and detail. Exceptional photo.
