At first glance, I see a flower that looks like it is glowing. Nice eye catcher. At closer look, I see that it has great detail and colors. The uniqueness is superb. I am not sure what that is in the background, but that is OK,it makes me wonder. Great job.

Nice effect Annie. I took a similar one today of the lovely red gerberas growing in my garden. The light was behind them and made the petals look yellow. Actually they look more yellow as they are growing, before the petals unfurl. Nice presentation. Great colour, contrast and lighting. Frances

I can't say I like this compsoition. It seems out of focus and lighting is off. I think the background is too busy also. Hope you don't take offense. Just trying to help. Maybe my eyes are just tired. Beautiful subject for sure.

I really like your composition and the concept for this image. I am disappointed that it is very soft and you are lacking detail in the petals. I am not particularly keen on the frame. I don't mind the back lighting but it is a little harsh. I think if you had used a smaller lens, say a focal length of no more than 55mm a higher ISO if you are in a dark room and your shutter speed needs to be equal to or more than you focal length. I would use an aperture of say 7.1. I hope this is of help for next time. Cheers.

Thank you for the review. I already know what went wrong. I was not 100 % pleased with the result anyway. Thank you for the advises. I got the same from another FAR member, so now I know what to do next time. Before next time I am also going to buy a proper macro lens. :) Annie
