Lovely painting- you did a great job with the close up. I love the colors and shaded of this pink- the lighting also gives the desired effect. Wonderful artwork!

OW! This is a real close up shot. So close that I thought this to be a watercolour painting done in wash technique.!The colours sharpness and composition makes this first rate. Well Done!

Thank you! You are right. It is a painting but not a watercolor. It is digitally painted with a special program [ArtRage 3.5.0} what basically works as painting on canvas. One chose the kind of canvas, brushes, colors et cetera. The fingers move the tools via a mouse pad. This painting was done in a mixed technique on blank digital canvas. I used oil brushes, the palette knife and chalks. I admit it would be complicated to mix oils and chalks on real canvas but it is digitally possible and even opens up some new doors.

I think you have done a fair job on the rose. I liked your comments about it. This is true with anything you paint. I like the changing values of the painting. Your shadowing is nicly done.Maybe a little more distinction on the left and lower part of the painting. They (petals) need more difination... like you did ont the top right. I do like the soft look of your flower. Pat

Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. The blurr in the left is intentional. I tried a similarity to the blurr our own eyes see when plants are moved in high winds. Our own eyes[at least mine] are not able to see as an camera with an stop in action shot. I tried to capture the motion of the petals in the wind. You could say I tried to paint the wind.

I love the close up view of this beautiful rose . The color is gorgeous and I love how you can see inside. I also like the strong contrast in the lower left corner with the green foliage. Fantastic point of view.

This is really pinky.
The creativity is great. At first look I thought it was a painting seeing nothing but blur.
Center of interest is good. I would of tried to make that center of the bud really clear and exposed.

Thank you Lou, You were right with your first impression. It is a painting. The blurr is intentional. I was trying to paint motion.
