What a lovely shot. The colours on the Butterfly are nice and sharp and stand out so well against the background. The flowers at the bottom are slightly blown out but it matters not when the main attraction is so beautiful. thanks you so much for sharing this with us.

Beautiful shot of the butterfly Willie, he is nice and sharp. I would have used the dodge tool, or if you shoot RAW and use CS4, the adjustment brush works great, oops, back on topic, on the flowers I mean. They are blown out and I find my eye strays to them each time instead of enjoying just the beautiful butterfly. Shirley

Thank you so very much! I know the flower was blown a bit but I was hopping the butterfly would take center stage. I don't know what to do about it. I shot this in jpeg. I have a very old version of photoshop and I use elements!

The colours and lighting are beautiful, and the butterfly is very nice and crisp! Slight over exposure on the flowers.I am unsure as to why the front flowers are a little out of focus, but since the butterfly is so crisp it doesnt matter. Well done.

This is well composed. The little blue flowers are a great contrast for the rich Monarch butterfly. Nice focus and depth of field. Lighting is good.
