It was sure worth staying up to get a picture of this beautiful flower. Amazing how many cacti flowers only last for one night or day. This is just a gorgeous picture of this beautiful flower. I like the angle and the way you composed the picture. Just an excellent picture in every way.

Thank you very much Anne. Yes it is worse to stay up all night to see and photograph that. The angle was a bit complicated. This beauty had located itself about 10 feet high in the brushes. So I was there holding the light in one hand or with my shoulder and the camera in the other.

Well Cleo you got yourself a winner here...this is just beautiful, but I would crop some of the black on the left side...very nicely done!

Thank you very much. I had actually cropped square and in five other different versions more of the black night on the left but somehow the weight did not seem right. When I looked at this version I tought too it needs cropping; but when I look at all of them this here seems the best. I don't know how to explain. It is as if the blossom is loosing more and more brilliance how tighter I cropp.
