Thank you very much for the lovely review and generous rating. And, yes, I am a bit proud of this. I do not often take photos of people apart fromfamily photos. This is one of my first serious attempts.

I am a sucker for b/w photo shooting, this has almost all the elements as a pro would of had back in the 40's the tone and contrast is great the subject is good as is focus and light just the edge is not my bag of brisket on this

powerfull photograph! good choice to convert to black and white. good framing of the subject. i like the addition of the vignette frame, it pulls you into the mood of the girl. great job!

i love black and white photography i think you see much more when you take away the colour, light is perfect great depth of field nice candid pose maybe she is thinking about what message she is going to write to send in the bottle thought provoking shot kind regards stephen

This is a very nice moment - the little girl is lost in her thoughts while playing with the handful of sand. It's hard to tell if she is sad or just distracted. Very atmospheric - which is enhance by your vignetting. Excellent work.

I love the off centered focal point. I think changing to black and white was perfect for this photo.The water/rocks/people in the background really add to the picture as well. I might play around with the lighting.More contrast and more highlights might really make certain areas "pop". Very nice.
