If that is her bottle of rock or shells, I suspect she is searching for a specific color or type of one or the other objects. Regardless, it is a very interesting image which peaks the curiosity of the viewer. B&W is perfect for the subject as well. Nicely done.

nice shot and good crop. this photo tells a story. BnW gives a better impact, to draw our attention to the the expression of her face. her off center placement is excellent. the blurred back ground stands her out even more. excellent work.

Quite an interesting and lovely portrait. The story here is potent. This little girl might be moody or perhaps she is studying something interesting on the beach. She certainly has a pensive look about her.
This is very well composed. There is enormous visual appeal with a good sense of balance. Your exposure is excellent and depth of field works very well, keeping her as the focal point, blurring distractions, but not so much as to destroy the context.
