Girl collecting stones in a bottle

I can't tell what is on her mind either. She doesn't look happy about where she is or what she is doing. The pose is really nice, especially the way she is pulling her hair back. I can see what is on the bottle label, but I can't read it. I do think that it makes a nice addition to the picture. For taking this in the middle of the day, you got a very good shot, nothing is washed out. I had a hugh problem in Israel with that. The sun was harsh, I didn't have the best of cameras, and didn't have enough practice with it before I went (it was only 2 months old), and I was/am a novice at real photography. This is a great photo for that time of day, or any time of day, as far as that goes. Good catch.

Her pose is really unusual and her face looks like a puzzle. One can never say where she is looking at the bottle in front of her or in the sand or nowhere.
Very good composition and very effective for being black and white picture.
Best regards and many more photos like this,
Mirolli

Great Composition. Good timing. Great title. She does look like she's in a mood. Maybe she will be an artist one day, one who contemplates nature around her. Great background. Thanks for sharing.

I like your decision to go with B & W - it enhances the mood of the picture. The expression is priceless - so typical for the age she appears to be. I also really like the hazy people in the background and the use of the matte border.

She is so deep in thought. Almost like in a dream world of her own thought ,we've all been there.
The B/W and Venette Matte is perfect touch it makes the picture so soft... Love it wish I had a 5.5 or a 6 but I don't .

Great capture. The lighting really adds to the expression on her face. Love this in b&w. Good focus and DOF. Reminds me of myself and hunting for shells or rocks. Thanks for sharing.

A great photo with a highly original story. The focus is good and the B/W color is nice. The presentation is well chosen.

I liked the initial photograph but what i thouhgt made it less appealing was the blurring around the edges. Other than that I thought it was a good photo. You did an excellent job capturing the girls facial emotions. I hope to see more from you in the future.
