You're skill continues to awe me Willie! Beautiful light. This is almost perfect... I wish that the framing gave equal importance to the reflection. I think that mirror reflections are one time that a middle composition works well. But your timing, camera settings and exposure ARE perfect! Stellar image!

What a wonderful shot of this magnificent bird. And you got the reflection to boot! What more can you ask for as a photographer? The coloring of the bird is so spectacular, but what I love the most is his neck. His very long neck, which of course he uses to go fishing. the green streak down the center of the water is very interesting. I'm always intrigued by the various colors that come out of water shots. The light on the water does such interesting things. I'm sure this green is from reflections of trees (?). But I can't be positive. There are such interesting other colors on the water, I can't really tell which are reflections and which aren't other than the blue heron, of course. Great shot. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful shot of this magnificent bird. And you got the reflection to boot! What more can you ask for as a photographer? The coloring of the bird is so spectacular, but what I love the most is his neck. A beautiful stop action photograph and a good entrant for the birds is flight contest. The photo makes the bird look so graceful. I like the reflection on the water. The is good sharp focus on the bird. The photograph was nicely cropped.
