This is a pretty awesome shot. i love the spraying water, the rainbow in the background, and the teal colored water. Nothing blends in to anything else. This picture keeps my eyes moving all over the page, because of the great visual interest throughout. I feel the sprays of water lead you in a circle around the page, making the entire photo interesting. Great shot. :)

What a beautiful image...I love rough seas and this picture captures the beauty I see when I view wind blown oceans. The white foam of the water on the beach is beautiful, the rainbow adds great interest, the greenish waters are beautiful and the dynamic black sky adds great contrast.
The exposure, focus, DOF, composition, framing, everything is perfect.
The fact that you may have risked your life to get this image is a testament to the end product and anyone would have crooked horizons under the circumstances.

What a beautiful image...I love rough seas and this picture captures the beauty I see when I view wind blown oceans. The white foam of the water on the beach is beautiful, the rainbow adds great interest, the greenish waters are beautiful and the dynamic black sky adds great contrast.

thank you very much for your toughtfull review. I did not brought my life in danger; but the camera got close to getting hurt. I know the area and behavior of waves well. Yee, I'm known for doing 'crazy' things to get a photo; but I'm not suicidal. I didn't go on the boat or out the the reef; but was in the safety of the sea shore. I think the wind was only around 30mph or so. It's just timing, raising the camera above head and running back before a wave hits the camera. Just isn't easy to keep footing. :-)

Wonderful seascape. Love the storyline and mood of the photo.
My eye is drawn right to the red boat and I like how it seems to be sunny on the right and stormy on the left. Nice composition. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot! Great contrast between the different sides of the rainbow. Your extra effort for this shot was worth it. Must have been some storm by the way the waves look. I work with a Sony too. Not a bad camera.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your review. It was indeed a very stormy day. Shortly after this shot I was caught in the rain of the next storm coming up at the right side in the picture.

wow !! now that's a shot ! you have so much going on here , the wave action you've captured is fantastic , you feel the energy of the ocean , and the warm sea air ! wish I was there ! Also I like the splashes , drops up in the air .. The storm makes this a great subject ..Love the colors !

Thank you very much for your compassionate review, but it is not entirely fun to be on the beach at 30/40mph. The rain was very cold.
