Beautiful shot of the bumble bee on the flower. Now the flower/bud also intrigues me because it looks so very different. In the US we are having a huge problem because so many bees are disappearing and they don't know why. We also have a problem with the African bees the have slowly moved North out of South America. As the bees get Africanized, they get more hostile and less productive, another problem for our farmers and anyone who depends up the bee. I don't think most people realize how very much the actually DEPEND upon the bee. I have forgotten the story about how/why the bees got from Africa to South America. I think someone thought it was a good idea because they were bigger, but I'm not positive.

Oh my gosh! I have NEVER heard of blue bees. I'm sure that makes for an interesting reaction the first time you see them. Then, of course, you get used to them.
