You did good here! I can relate to the frustration of trying to get a good macros of "moving" objects! Composition on this one leaf is very balanced. Detail is very good. I think it is a good shot. thanks for sharing.

This is a competent macro that I would be proud of.
I like the black background although it doesn't appear as natural it does focus the eye on the main subject.
There is a hint of burnt highlights on the wings.
Very little to criticize apart from that perhaps a tad more contrast. It would have been stronger if it was facing the other way round so that we could see its head. But that's just me trying to find fault.Mitch

Now I am glad he decided to sit still so you could take his picture. The close up is great the way you took it. I like the way everything shows up on the black background. Just think your light is a little strong.

AWESOME! I think you did a great job, but what makes it soooooo good, is the leaf it's landed on.
This fly is as claer as could be and his eyes are just bugging out of his face. Look at the wings! They are perfect.
