WOW! Awesome close-up action shot of such a beautiful creature! The lighting and colors are beautiful and the initial impact is very strong. My only suggestion is having the heron farther up in the frame and including more of its reflection/shadow. Great shot!

I am jealous, I have been trying all summer to catch a good shot of a blue heron. even with a 300mm lens I can't get close before they flay away.
the photo is well focued and the details are good. the colors are natural and the lighting is nice.
