You have taken a simple photo and created a piece of art. I like the rays coming of the bud except the design at the top in the background. I also notice that it is almost square was that your plan or did it just happen.

How stunning, the image just glows! Wonderful sharp focus showing all the details on the bud, the b.g. is outstanding and very eye catching. Lighting ,wow, adds so much to the shot, Great use of techs to create this work of art!! Great choice in textures. Great water drops to complete this image.Nice!!

I commend you for your imagination and your post process work.
At 1/2000 there shouldn't have been any trouble in hand holding the camera so there must be a focus or depth of field problem.I am unable to decide which. The spikes look O.K. but the water drops seem undefined. I like the rays but me the colour is more of a distraction. Mitch

It is neither. The problem here is that the filter I used also effected the bud, not only the background. Seems to be even more visible on this site. The droplets are actually well defined in the original.I should of course have cut out the bud, done the background seperately, and pasted the bud after. Bad job I did here. Thank you very much for the review. Think your rating is absolutely correct.

If it were is some fantasy color it would remind me of something out of the movie "Avatar", which I loved. It had the most wonderful fantasy plants in it in such vibrant colors.

The main subject should be a little sharper. I would have used around f/11 at a much slower speed. I do love your concept. Good cropping. I also am glad that you choose to make mostly B&W with a little cyan in the upper left. You have great leading lines. Nice work.

The main subject is already sharper than you can see it. When I added the texture it also had an influence on the bud. I realize I should have done this differently by cutting out the bud, processed the background and pasted it back. I have to pull myself together. LOL I think I will go back this evening and redo it. Your 4.5 is a correct rating. My image does not deserve 5 as it is now. Thank you for the review.
