Very, very nice. Incredibly beautiful subject, excellent lighting, well framed, great choice of setting to use the stainless steel and the bit of reflection is icing on the cake. If only I had more than 5 stars to give...

What a sweet narrative , lucky grandson!! A lovely pic with such vibrant colors. Your focus is sharp with lovely reflection on the bench top!! The d.o.f. is wonderful giving this bloom depth! Lovely framing bringing this flower in so nice and close!! Very pretty bloom, lucky grandma!!

Good initial impact. Good focus and lighting. Good color harmony. This clever way of preserving your grandson's gift is the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.

What a beautiful flower. It is just gorgeous. It is, however, a bit out of focus. But still lovely to look at. Nicely done.

This is a very nice capture of the flower. The colours are vibrant and the background contrasts nicely.
Nice lighting. Could I suggest a tighter crop leaving the reflection out as this is a distraction from the focal point of interest. Maybe a sharper focus could benefit here showing all that lovely detail within. Try using a tripod or manual focus. Keep practising, lots of potential here. Look forward to more!

Thanks so much for your positive review. Did actually use a tripod but would have been about the 2nd or 3rd shot with new macro lens, lots more practice to improve.

I would like to see more of the center of the flower in focus. I would have used a smaller f/stop. I would like to see more room on the left. I would crop out most of the right side. I probably have re-shot the flower with more room on the right. The gray would be darker, but it would work nicely. I like the background, going dark to light. That is a very nice reflection of the flower. I looks really nice with the orange/brownish strips in the middle of the flower's pedals.
Very good colors with good density, contrast and saturation. Good texture on the pedals. A good photograph and nice work.
Take care,
Cheers,
Bill
