Well, I always liked your avatar, as it says who you are and what you do. I always wondered if these little characters meant something to you, had a special place in your heart...sometimes artists put he same or similar images in their work! Always interesting and entertaining work for certain! I would never venture to give one so skilled with the marker any technical advise as you have mastered this medium! Keep going! Jean

I've trolled through your archive before and your progression is both remarkable and inspirational. This piece is especially magical and love how your characters are seemingly brought to life around you, great work and Happy New Year!

A lot going on in this pic. Like you said many things going on in your images. I wonder how much life affects our art.
I like all of your characters in this one. From the vampire to the astromaut and dragon. I like how he's clawing onto your arm. But I really like the little football player and the front of your desk at the bottom. I like the dog and the Lost in Space robot. Danger! I always laugh. Anyways, a very interesiting piece of art, skillfully drawn and colored.
Natalie :)

Thank you for writing these notes!!
I love your work ! I am fairly new to Far and what struck me about your work right from the start is your versatility. You are open to so many ideas that can come only from a fertile , creative mind that is fully engaged with life. I admire your technique which is really unusual. And most of all, I love your sense of humour !!!

"That is a question that has always been asked. Am I a cartoonist or a artist..." Dumb question - I have received lots of those , such as " What is this? Photography ? " asking for money from the poor artist to promote their artwork"..I can relate to that in a big way as well. I had a few exhibitions - generally well received but if I had a nickel for each " oh my, this is beautiful" I would be well off. I have found that many people do not trust their own judgement and need someone , such as a decorator , to tell them what ' is good '.The few artists who do make a reasonable income from their work are fortunate enough to find a mentor to help them along. I love the usual comment that after all you do it for your own pleasure - which is certainly true..however, that 'pleasure' does not pay for supplies such as sharpies in your case. That is why I am so glad I found FAR because I can show what I create - get feedback, appreciation and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg....and I learn a great deal about new techniques and approaches that I can incorporate in my work.It helps to keep me current.

As to this image..as usual great colours - lots going on all over the frame incorporating some of the subjects you worked or are working on...love the little devil nudging you..nice to finally put a face to the moniker " MKFlood".

Impressive use of primary colors and some earth tones.

Mark, this is a tremendous piece of work representing your enormous capacity of a true artist. I don't think the medium makes the artist, it is your ability. You are unique in your medium, designs, and fantastic ability to create. I was told something years ago when I was about to purchase some golf clubs. I was toying with spending big bucks on big name brand clubs. I was told this statement and I let it influence me in my life. "It's Not the Arrows, it's the Indian." Happy New Year my Friend.

Always wanted to have the chance to review your most greatest work.

Your profile photo.

AC/DC huh, very interesting indeed. Funny story, I have their complete album works on my handy dandy camera. Actually not a funny story.

Long live Bon Scott! And long live MKFlood!

Lots going on in this rendition. Lots!

But friends I ask a simple question. Does our friendly render of all things cool have a thing for red heads?

Just curious. Now dearest one, I will admit to you a fact.

My boss is a lovely female. And she just so have lovely red hair. Just thought I'd share. Oh, god she might read this. If that were to happen I'd say by all means look deep into the green eyes of MKFlood and know that he understands your passion.

Your fiery passion.

Oh gosh, I hear bag pipes in the distant...

and the words...

I tell you folks it's harder then it looks...

And I think you all would agree.

It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock n' roll!

To your groove. And to your top.

Thanks for finally sharing this one.
