I had always thought this drawing was of yourself and when I did you that tribute I was almost going to try and draw this handsome man, but thawt, what if it's not, then the tribute would have been confusing so of course played it safe & stuck with the monkey :-)
You are a master at what you do Mark with just so much talent and the proof is in the pudding having won contests, won trophies and chosen to illustrate books ect.

Any hobby has its expenses. Money is thrown away on equipment that isn't needed or doesn't fit your idea. You found a medium for your art that works for you. Poor man's art this isn't. Markers cost money. Paper cost money Your time is money. You are a master of Sharpie art. You do more with markers than some Artist do with paint. ii NEVER think of your work as cheap. Good art is good art.

Lol. I love the characters around his creator, and as the dragon requires your attention with a soft touch in your arm. All them is alive because were created through your sharpie. Excellent shading, color, and composition. Well done.
