Looks like these guys got hit by frost. The leaves are wilted. Great looking pumkins though,I wish I could grow pumkins like this. Nice composition and color. Neat shot!!

Excellent angle and composition. Unfortunately, the pumpkin in front is over exposed. There are some simple corrections that can be made in Photoshop (and other programs I am not aware of) but adding a soft orange color every lightly to the pumpkin since the rest of the photo is quite well balanced between light and dark and tones inbetween.

Thanks for your review,I will dispute the over exposure as the pumpkins were two different colors totally, the larger of the two was the bright orange against the pale one in foreground which was one of the things that attracted me to them originally. Don't normally dispute a review but if that was basis of comment thought I would make mention. Always appreciate peoples comments. Cheers Mary

Unless these were different varieties which is unlikely since they appear to be growing from the same plant, the pumpkin in front was likely sun bleached. As a vegetable judge at the district fair, seeing that (if that truly is the condition) it would not have received a ribbon due to discoloration, for whatever the reason. I only see the end result, not matter what the cause.

Very pretty and such a nice autumn photograph. Great composition and lighting in this as well. Love the contrast.

They do look like they are ready to be picked. I like the way you took this one. I like the way you left the leaf on the left. Adds just a touch of another color. Lighting and focus are excellent. Hope some one picks them.

Thanks so much again, I don't believe anyone picks them which is a shame as they could be of great use to one of the kitchens feeding the homeless.

Yummy pumpkin soup or pie will work for this shot. The impact creates a very good presentation of a pumpkin ready for harvest. Color harmony it appears that one is a slightly different in color almost if that particular one is over exposed but it is clear the photo is not. Technical excellence is very good. Story telling is good. Lighting is good.

Thanks for your review, no idea why but they were both different shades of orange, I thought perhaps one was darker as it was older.

Technically this shot is well done and the colours in the pumpkins is good. My gripe is with the dead leaves and the "jumbled" look of the image. A nice clean shot of the more brightly coloured pumpkin would have worked better. It "might" work if you desaturate the background, including that deep green leaf on the right, which competes with the main subject. Clean simple shots are nearly always better. Sorry, this is all just my humble opinion. Thanks

Thanks for your review, humble opinion accepted unfortunately I don't have a software package that enables me to adjust too much it is pretty basic. Hopefully will get a copy of photoshop soon which will give me more options. Look forward to hearing more from you in future :)
