The light of the sun looks incredible in this shot. It looks surreal. It seems like a special effect that you added later but you just got a great shot. It has creativity. It is artistic and it has focus, definition and a great initial impact. Beautiful.

Very good job of capturing the light beams. Good exposure and point of view to make them stand out between the trees. Are those pine or fir trees?

Cool shot. I think it would look good as a painting... as a photo it looks just a little off. The streams of light look cool in the thumbnail, but up close it looks pretty evident that they are the device of editing software. I know I am an artist and I am accustomed to seeing these things better than the general public but the highlight/shadow of the big tree in the foreground is from a different angle than the beams shining through the trees. One more note on that and then I'll let it go; adding these beams can work well, but not from the dead center of the canvas. It's too balance. It needs to be off-centered a little. The center of focus shouldn't be directly in the middle of the canvas. I forget the definition of this rule, (Rule of 3rds? Golden Rule? I don't remember) but I know that it makes sense and the difference is huge. Crop off a little from the side of this picture, you should see the difference in balance.

Other than the vast amount of time I have spent worrying about this MINOR flaw I must admit that your shot exudes some great contrast between the lights and darks, and it has great tonal balance. It's isn't muddy or overpoweringly dark or light. Really nice composition. I do like that the rays of light come from under that crossed section of trees too. That is a really nice touch. In fact if the resolution holds I would crop the photo down to around that whole section and really focus in on it. Just a thought.

Cool shot, I enjoyed it. The most important thing is that it caught my attention and drew me in (I was REALLY not looking forward to writing another review). That is the goal and you accomplished it!

What a great capture.Impact is a 5. The sun rays are so vivid it is amazing. I have seen rays like this but usually involving some fog. Colors, DOF and focus are all very good. Overall sharpness is very good. Nice work, sometimes luck is half the challenge.
