Very well-positioned with the log to the bird's front-right side. The composition of the water is refined, and I particularly like the variety of colors reflected in it. The detail on the bird is great owing to the perfect focus. It is a great action shot because the fish is moving and water is flying, meaning that you shot that at the perfect moment in time.

Great initial impact. Good focus, lighting and color harmony. The heron coming out of the blue circles of water with a fish is the center of interest. Great composition with the rich reflections in the water and the broken post. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title.

Wow - great action shot! I am rather jealous! The colours of both the bird and the reflections in the water are lovely. I certainly wouldn't have managed to focus this in my frenzy of re-preparing the camera!
