What a great capture. I have not used an external flash, but I think I will work on it after looking at your results. Excellent detail and lighting.

This is a wonderful capture of this precious little bird. I love these too! I have had them nest in a birdhouse for 2 summers now. Tiny little babies when they are out of the eggs. Great focus and detail on this excellent close up. Very well done!
