You are correct, I don't usually look at the center of a rose. I usually prefer them prior to their opening up totally. I've just never paid attention to their center. Of course, I may not have seen this type of rose, either. I like the way you used the light and shadows on this photo. I even like the peach color (I tend to dislike orange or anything close to it). I like the way you captured what appears to be very bright lighting without blowing any of it out. Nice job.

great focus and lighting. the color of the flower is gorgeous and teh black background really pops the flower out at me. the little hints of yellow in the center are great for drawing me in and the little bits of shadow are nice as well.

The center is interesting, it looks like a rose within a rose. Very nice exposure, the sun is shining very well off of the pedals. The orange color is bold, and you have captured great detail of the flower. The black background really helps to enhance the color of the flower. Eye pleasing image! Nicely done.
