This is an excellent depiction of an historic moment in American history; it was both strange and significant. Your interpretation is superb.

Nice work!
I can remember this time. I think it was terrible. I saw the move "the help" and it tells the story of this time! Today is a very good day to see this. Dr Martin Luther King would be so very pleased with things as they are today!

truly a remarkable time in American History, I made a visit to the Smithsonian in DC and there in its glory was the diner counter where it all took place, pretty cool. Good rendition of this historical event.

Thanks for doing this
a good and important subject
very good depiction of how she must have felt and the jeering, expressions on the faces of the girls behind her
you see how it feels to be persecuted
like your composition..looking from her to the line of people behind
do like those trees too
the colors are vivid

i grew up in the this atmosphere, but what blows peoples minds was that mine waw in reverse. i grew up on a 80 to 90 % black majoirity area and was the only white kid in the class most of the time. i honored eleizabeth and her classmates for that bravery that i can relate so much to. only in reversed. the main thing i missed about the military, is there you are one color...green...wink. I want to thank you for giving me your valuable time from your busy schedule in giving me this excellent reveiw!

AMAZING!!! I think most Americans are ignorant of this, and I was wondering just the other day how this young lady turned out..I remember seeing the police escort her into school while (nice) people yelled nasty things and spit at her..This is a wonderful tribute, and VERY emotional Donkeyoatey

(bowing) thank you so much...you could say i was doing it with emmotion..wink. I have been trying to get other people interested in the contest on here i am sponsering (Civil rights contest) i started this one but left it open for all races, because this country was built as well as stepped on by many nationalities. Hoping i can get some more expressional work up against me. I figure if i lose again im still gonna make them work for it...wink.. thank you so much for your time and very emotional response!

Fantastic. Not only the elite use of a difficult medium but the portrayel of such a dramatic scene. That's a special combination. Your ability to capture realistic shadows and highlights and the fine way that you carefully fill your page are really classic. You are an artist of the purest nature.

You are so prolific at this, have you ever considering putting together a graphic novel? I would think your work would be perfect for it. If you do not fancy yourself a writer I know a couple of guys who write and they would be excited to work with someone who could draw their work like this. Just a thought.

If only I had 6 stars to give. The story telling is very powerful. The expressions on all of their faces of the says it all. My grandmother grew up in Little Rock before moving to Illinois. She has told me many stories of what life was like back then. I think this is a wonderful tribute, and your work has moved me. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is a very good work here. I am sorry to say that I lived in Alabama during this dark period in American history. After having lived in the Chicaco all my life, living in Alabama was a total nightmare - couldn't wait to be transfered back up north, I went to school and lived with blacks all my life and learned much good.

I really like the story behind this art work, And this in itself says a thousand words. You have captured hostility bravery, pride anger, so much in here, I think what makes me still so sad about this is that it still happens everywhere. I like to hire all nationalities in my store and the racism I still see boggles my mind

i ran retail locations for over 25 years myself. I have always hired by ability which will always help my locations to propell by excellence. However it would boogle my mind that my sister stores in the south if there is a black manager or white manager they would hire only their race. I point this to one particular black manager ( i knew why the whites did it but didnt understand why the blacks) the black manager says to me that he is trying to give his people a break. I gave him the puzzled look and said dont you hire by the ability regardless of race? he said the black man dont geta break. funny i guess you never been my locations they are rainbow based on ablity. i still dont think he got it it. sometimes in the south i swear i cant tell the difference from white and black because they both act the same. i miss the military's attitude everybody there is one color...green..wink. thank you so much for giving for your thoughts and great reveiw!
